About Casabien Inlandvillas

How we became who we are:

For many years we (Franz & Margret) cherished the dream of one day living in Spain. Company, house and family in Germany, everything in a well-worn rut. To live a sweet life under the sun, on the beach? No, that was never our thing.    Beach bustle and party magic is the last thing we lack to feel good.

Through our work as real estate agents in Germany we could already establish first contacts to Spain. In the year 2009 we then bought ourselves. A plot of land in a small village in the Inland of Alicante, on which we wanted to build the house of our dreams. Originally planned as a retirement home when the stress of working life finally came to an end. Quietly situated and far away from all tourism, just as we had always imagined.

The purchase demanded a lot from us, because nothing was as expected. Europe seems to end at the border to Spain. What is normal in Germany, is far from being introduced in Spain, or traditionally different …                                                        Of course we could only speak Spanish to a very limited extent, which made the whole thing even more adventurous.

As it always is in life, everything comes differently than you expect!

We did not feel like waiting for the retirement age. Therefore, we packed our suitcases and started a new beginning! The company ED Immobilien (our company in Germany, through which we have already brokered Spanish properties) was transformed into Casabien, finally being on site ourselves and showing interested parties what makes life here so beautiful.

Summarized: We have experienced wonderful and really terrible things. But, as they say: One learns from mistakes!

Exactly all these experiences, which we have gained over time, enable us today to protect our customers from many things. To remove hurdles in the way and to simply stand by, helpful, until you feel you have arrived at home.

What our clients have to say:

Phil & Lynda Williams

We cannot thank Casabien Inlandvillas enough for their time and advice in finding our dream Spanish home; they went over and above what you would expect to help us out. They listened to our requirements and found us various properties in different areas to view showing us all the places of interest that would fulfil our needs. They also gave us excellent advice on legalities and referred us to an excellent lawyer. Nothing was ever a problem and they were very accommodating with the time we had to view the properties.

I would highly recommend using Casabien Inlandvillas if you are looking to find you dream home in this area.

Thank you for selling my campo house and finding me my new, lovely apartment. It seemed an impossible task on my own, but you have made everything so easy for me. Thank you for being not only an Estate Agent, but also a caring person!

In 2018 we had considered moving from Germany to Spain. During our research on the internet we came across Margret, originally because of the purchase of a used property. After a few telephone calls with her we decided to build a new house to avoid having to renovate endlessly until the project completely meets our expectations. Margret quickly established contact with a local construction company and accompanied us with a lot of patience and empathy during the property inspections and afterwards in the decision phase up to the purchase contract. I very quickly learned to appreciate her open and direct manner. Trust is very important in such a step. But the service did not end with the conclusion of the contract.

It is no exaggeration to say that without Margret’s help I might not have been able to decide on such a project in the first place, because I was very concerned about tackling such a project over a long distance and over a longer period of time. In addition, there were concerns about Spanish property law, local bureaucracy, our lack of language skills and so on… After all, one invests a lot of money and wants to be sure that in the end one gets what one expected. But we experienced very competent support from A to Z during the construction phase, and also afterwards. Even today, half a year after moving into the new dream house, we still fall back on her knowledge of the country and the industry from time to time. And I can only say that we have not regretted the decision to date.
So a heartfelt thank you for everything and a clear recommendation to confide in Margret. Or in other words: 5 stars for the great care and company!!!

Evaluation of Margret
If you want to go to Spain, to live there, away from the German stress, away from constraints, towards the sun, then you have an excellent idea that can catapult you into a long-awaited feeling of well-being.
Please note, I said CAN! But first of all, you need to have a lot of nerve and patience.
Your family doctor could certainly prescribe some things to spare your nerves. Or you could choose the right estate agent right from the start.
If you think you can handle everything on your own, then I would be happy to make a bet with you.
But you better not bet, but contact Margret Traue. She is a multi-talent in the most diverse areas of expertise around the purchase of a house and also has excellent contacts to authorities and specialist lawyers.
Margret has been living in Spain for years and speaks fluent English and Spanish in addition to her mother tongue. She is very familiar with the possible pitfalls of dealing with the authorities, which are sometimes perceived as torture. It is precisely at this point that Margret will provide follow-up support. And that after she has already received her fee for the house. Margret will not charge you for this care.
If you later discover one or the other little flaw in the house, she will help you to find experts, also with German craftsmanship. Margret gives you the complete package!
After years of service in the USA, I myself returned to Spain to my pension. My contacts with estate agents were initially made via the Internet from the USA.
The house selection, up to the actual purchase was also a learning phase. My “teacher” Margret was able to elicit my real living needs from me at an early stage of buying. She already knew before me what was good for me and my family when living. She asked specific questions and very quickly analysed the needs of her customers. If Margret has scanned you, then you may confidently sort out those rotten apples on the real estate market.
In the market, which is then cleared up, Margret will finally take you by the hand and start the inspection. And then you will find what you are looking for and be happy.
